Our hospital was established in 1951 under the name of Sakarya State Hospital with a
capacity of 100 beds. With the letter dated 10.11.2006 and numbered 6625 of the General
Directorate of Health Education of the Ministry, our hospital was named as Sakarya Training
and Research Hospital. Afterwards, the cooperation protocol was signed on 05.06.2009 and
served as an Teaching and Research Hospital for Sakarya University Faculty of Medicine.
On
05.08.2011, the protocol was signed between the Ministry of Health and Sakarya University
Medical Faculty. MINISTRY OF HEALTH SAKARYA UNIVERSITY started to serve as
TRAINING AND RESEARCH HOSPITAL.
In September 2014, our hospital, which was merged with Sakarya Maternity and Children's
Hospital, continues to serve on four campuses as the main campus, Korucuk campus,
maternity campus and Community and Mental Health Center (TRSM).
Founded on a total area of 21,717 m2, it is a healthcare facility offering 3rd level health
service with 110.522 M2 closed area.
We are proud to serve the Sakarya people, the surrounding cities and districts by working
hard with 935 patient beds in total, including 120 intensive care patient beds.
Our hospital continues to develop both as a staff and bed number and as a medical
equipment. Currently, there are 44 professors, 26 associate professors, 46 assistant professors
and 199 specialist doctors in 56 branches.
Emergency Medicine Clinic, Urology, Plastic Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Internal
Medicine, Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery, Neurology, Obstetrics and Gynecology,
Anesthesia and Reanimation, Orthopedics and Traumatology, Infectious Diseases, General
Surgery, Oncology, Pediatrics, ENT, Dermatology, Gastroenterology and Rheumatology,
Psychiatry, Laboratories (Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Genetics), Radiology, such
as education in many branches and almost all branches are providing health care.
